GC-MS with FID and TCD

This machine is a gas chromatograph coupled to three different detectors: mass spectrometry (MS), flame-ionization detector (FID) and thermal conductivity detector (TCD).

This machine can be used to measure (labeled) gases (standard measured: N₂, O₂, CH₄, CO₂ and N₂O)

Machine: Agilent 8890 GC system + Agilent 5977B GC/MSD system

Standard settings (can be changed when discussed):

1. Inlet temperature 125 °C
2. Inlet flow: 13 ml /min
3. TCD column flow: 10 ml / min
4. Oven temperature 70 °C
5. TCD detector temperature: 150 °C
6. FID detector temperature: 220 °C
