General description
Immobilize microbes or similar particles, and perform live-cell imaging while exposing them to choice liquids.
The fully assembled system allows the immobilization of live yeast- and/or bacteria-sized objects in the field of view of the microscope, and flush them with treatments from 8 separate reservoirs, according to user-decided programs.
This system requires separately purchaseable, disposable imaging plates sold by CellASIC, which have specific trapping-chamber dimensions.
GI does not have these plates available, but we have the machine. It can be fit to any of our inverted microscopes upon request.
Applications
Live-cell microbial imaging, yeast, bacteria, trapping/immobilizing them, and flushing with various liquids over time. Microfluidics.
